Here is what I know so far about the wonderful guitar player Davey Johnstone.

It all started when Davey Johnstone's sister gave Davey a guitar when he was eleven years old. He started playing the viola in school when he was seven. Davey was even known to play his viola like a guitar. A year after he got the guitar from his sister he got an electric guitar. He had a band in school called the Trolls; they played Beatles and Rolling stones stuff.  Before that Davey Johnstone was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on May 6th, 1951.  At the age of fifteen Davey was in bands such as Carrick Folk, Noel Murphy's Draught Porridge, and Fife Reivers; but later became part of a band called Magna Carta.
Later Davey became the Guitarist for the Elton John band in the 70s. Davey has also played guitar for Bob Segar and Alice Cooper. In 1973 Davey released the album Smiling Face. In 1991 he realesed the album Holes in Heaven with his band the Warpipes. Davey Currently lives in California with his Wife and children. He is also currently on tour with Elton John all over the place.
